And now for some stamping!

I bought a Cuttlebug! I had been undecided for so long because I've got a Sizzix Sidekick but I wanted to be able to cut chipboard and fun foam for scrapbooking titles. Lincraft had the C'bug on special for a really good price but I was still not 100% sure and then I tested some thin chipboard and fun foam through the Sidekic and it worked so decided not to get one but then found some nice C'bug dies and embossing folders online so throughout the course of the day I was able to convince myself lol! Then I went in and they were back to their normal price!!! Arrgh but I went up to the desk to see if I could knock her down (in price not literally) and turns out the advertised price was wrong and they were still in sale for $40 off - yay! So glad I asked! Then I raced down to Scraptacular right on closing (sorry Julie *g* well there were still other customers in the shop)and bought some folders so I could have a play that night. I also bought a Clip It Up (my tax return came in *g*) which is still sitting untouched in it's box.

Anyway, last Saturday my son had a party to go to but not until 5pm. I had all day to make this card but yep, are you surprised to hear that I started it at 4.00pm?? Lucky we live near the bowling alley where the party was being held. The cardstock is called Core-dinations Black Magic. It's coloured card on one side and black on the other and when you distress the black top the coloured "core" shows through! Pretty neat huh? I bought the card at the Jeff Shed show, it was a scrapbooking stand right opposite us (waves to Sarah!). This cardstock was also why I "needed" the Cuttlebug.

The 2nd card is a shameless CASE from one of my downline, Karen. Hers is in different colours though and uses ribbon, I used a strip of c/stock with faux stitching. It hasn't photographed too well, the light wasn't very good. The stamp set is Always from the new Spring mini catalogue. If you'd like a copy of this, email me kirbygail@hotmail.com (I've forgotton how to connect this) and I'll send one out to you!

Hey! I was going to shamelessly CASE Karen's card as well ... it is such a pretty way to use that bird stamp.

Calm Down, calm down!! LOL. Not even I can keep up with this many posts. But I am very proud of you. Glad you are getting some use out of your cuttlebug, fun isn't he. Glad you liked my card. I love your faux stitching, you tricked me.
Cheers ( a very impressed) Karen

LOL! Knew it wouldn't take you long to see I'd updated. Gives me breathing space for another 6 weeks or so lol! I was really surprised how authentic the faux stitching looks, especially when it's dried properly.
